What fusion parts do

Fusion parts are upgrade components that slot into your car's upgrade categories to push performance beyond what standard stages alone allow. They're how you squeeze the last bit of speed out of a build once the normal upgrades are maxed, and they feed directly into your car's EVO rating. Rarity and brand-matching

Two things decide how useful a fusion part is:

• Rarity. Higher-rarity fusion parts give a bigger performance boost. You'll naturally want your best parts on the cars you race most.
• Brand match. Fusion parts are tied to manufacturers, so a part is most effective on a car from a matching or compatible brand. Stockpiling parts for the brands you actually build is smarter than spreading them thin.

Where fusion parts come from

This is the catch: you can't simply buy the exact fusion parts you want with cash. They come from crate openings, goals and events, which makes them, like keys and Stage 6 parts, one of the slowest things to farm for a specific car. The more you open and play, the more you accumulate, but the right part for the right car is never guaranteed.

The mistake everyone makes once

Here's the one to avoid: applying a fusion part to the wrong slot. Once fitted, moving or removing a fusion part costs gold, so a careless tap can drain the premium currency you were saving for gold keys. Plan the build before you start fusing: decide which categories matter most for the car and the race type, then apply your best parts there first.

Fusion parts and tuning go together

Fusion parts raise the ceiling; tuning realises it. A car with great fusion parts but a lazy tune still loses to a well-tuned rival. Treat the two as one job: fuse correctly, then dial in the final drive, nitrous and tyre pressure for the race you're running.
