CSR Racing 2 starts generous and slowly tightens, so the players who progress fastest are the ones who spend their resources well, not just the ones who play the most. These are the tips we'd give a friend starting out, the same habits that get you to a competitive Tier 5 garage without wasting months.

Do your Daily Battles, every day

Daily Battles are the most reliable income in the game. They reset every day and hand out cash, gold and the occasional crate, and skipping them is the most common reason new players feel stuck. Five minutes a day adds up faster than a single long grind session once a week.

Spend cash on the right upgrades, not every upgrade

Early on it's tempting to fully upgrade every car you own. Don't. Pick one strong car per tier and pour cash into it so you always have something competitive, then branch out. A half-upgraded fleet loses races a single maxed car would win. Our cash and gold guide covers what each currency is best spent on.

Treat gold like it's rare, because it is

Gold is the resource you'll wish you had later. Avoid spending it on fuel refills or speed-ups in the early tiers; save it for gold keys and for removing fusion parts you placed wrong. Wasting gold early is the quietest way to slow your own progress.

Understand keys before you open crates

Crates are exciting, but opening them randomly burns keys you'll need for specific Stage 6 parts later. Learn which crates drop what, and save keys for the cars you actually plan to build rather than opening on impulse.

Restore and flip imports for cash

Import cars are a classic cash engine. Restoring them, racing them, and moving on is a steady way to fund upgrades, especially in the mid tiers where cash starts to bite. It's slower than it sounds, but it's dependable.

Don't fear the Tier 5 wall, plan for it

Tier 5 is where the economy changes completely. A single competitive build can cost tens of millions in cash plus the right Stage 6 and fusion parts, and that's normal. The players who push through either grind methodically or top up the parts they're missing. If you'd rather skip the slow part, a maxed car or a cash, gold and keys top-up gets you over the wall, delivered to your account in about 20 minutes. Tune your cars (most players don't)

Two identical cars can post very different times, and the difference is the tune. Once a car is built, spend a few minutes on the final drive, nitrous and tyre pressure, it's free performance most players leave on the table. We walk through it in the CSR2 tuning guide.

The short version

Daily Battles every day, one strong car per tier, hoard gold, save keys for planned builds, flip imports for cash, and tune what you build. Do those and you'll climb faster than most, and when Tier 5 gets heavy, you'll know exactly where a top-up or a maxed car saves you the most time. Questions? Live chat with us anytime.

Frequently asked questions

What's the fastest way to progress in CSR2?

Do your Daily Battles every day, focus cash on one strong car per tier instead of upgrading everything, save gold and keys for planned builds, and tune your cars. Consistent smart spending beats long random grinding.

What should I spend gold on early in CSR2?

Save it. Avoid using gold on fuel refills or speed-ups early on; keep it for gold keys and for fixing fusion mistakes. Gold is the resource you'll most wish you had in the later tiers.

Why is Tier 5 so hard in CSR2?

The economy tightens sharply, a competitive Tier 5 build can cost tens of millions in cash plus rare Stage 6 and fusion parts. Players get through by grinding methodically or topping up the parts they're missing.

Does tuning really make a difference?

Yes, a lot. Two cars with identical parts can post very different times based purely on the tune. Setting the final drive, nitrous and tyre pressure correctly is free performance most players skip.

Ready to skip the grind?
