CSR2 Terms Explained: PP, EVO, Dyno, Fusion & More (Glossary 2026)
CSR2 MODS Team · June 25, 2026
CSR Racing 2 throws a lot of jargon at you, and the game does not always explain it well. This glossary breaks down the terms you will actually run into, in plain English, so you always know what a number or menu means. Each section links to a deeper guide if you want the full story.
Performance ratings
PP (Performance Potential). A single number summarising how strong a car is, based on its base stats plus every Stage 1 to 6 upgrade fitted. It reflects power, grip, weight and gearbox. Higher PP usually means a faster car before tuning is added.
EVO (Evo Points). Shown next to PP, these are the extra performance you squeeze out through tuning and fusion parts. Tuning and fusion raise your EVO, not your PP, so two cars with the same PP can perform very differently once EVO is added.
Dyno. Your car's benchmark time on the rolling road. It represents a clean run with good shifting, and many events rank you against your dyno, so beating your dyno time on the strip is the goal. The Live Races matchmaker also brackets cars by dyno time.
RP (Respect Points). The points you earn from winning Live Races, which build your online rank.
Tiers and upgrades
Tiers (T1 to T5). Cars are grouped into five tiers by performance class. T1 is the entry level and T5 is the top, where the fastest hypercars and the toughest competition live.
Stage 1 to 5. The standard upgrade parts you buy with cash across categories like engine, turbo, intake, nitrous, body, tyres and transmission.
Stage 6. The final, rare upgrade tier for each category. Stage 6 parts come from crates rather than the shop, which is why they are slow to farm. See our Stage 6 and Elite guide.
Fusion parts. Brand-linked components that push a car past its normal performance cap and feed your EVO rating. Full breakdown in our fusion parts guide.
Elite tokens and Elite Customs. Tokens that unlock Elite Custom upgrade slots for extra performance on top of Stage 6, covered in the Elite guide.
Tuning. Adjusting settings like final drive, tyre pressure and nitrous to get the most from a build. Our tuning guide explains each slider.
Currency and crates
Cash. The standard currency for Stage 1 to 5 upgrades and dealership cars.
Gold. The premium currency, used for fuel, gold keys and skipping import timers. See our cash and gold guide.
Keys. Bronze, silver and gold keys open crates of the matching level. The keys guide explains which to save.
Crates. Reward boxes opened with keys that can drop parts, fusion, Stage 6 components and even cars.
Cars and collections
Restoration and Legends. Legends are classic cars you restore piece by piece before you can use them. Full details in our Legends and restoration guide.
Imports and Rare Imports. Higher tier import parts carry a delivery timer you wait out or skip with gold. The Rare Imports machine offers rare components, fusion and Stage 6 EVO parts.
OEM. Shorthand for the original manufacturer, the real car brands featured in the game.
Game modes and driving
Crew and Crew Championship. Your crew is the team you join, and the Crew Championship is the team event where everyone's races add to a shared total. See the Crew Championship guide.
Live Races. Online one-on-one races for RP, keys and cash bets, explained in our Live Races guide.
Perfect start and perfect shift. Nailing the launch and your gear changes for the best time. Our perfect shift and start guide covers the timing.
Putting it together
Once the jargon clicks, the game makes a lot more sense: build PP with Stage 1 to 6 parts, add EVO through fusion and tuning, beat your dyno with a clean launch and the right shifts, then take it online for RP.
